Searching for a New Head of School

After a decade of service at Trinity Episcopal School, Head of School Tom Franz announced he would step down from the position at the conclusion of the 2021-22 school year. The Board of Trustees is now engaged in one of its most important responsibilities: finding a new leader to guide Trinity in its mission of creating scholars, nurturing spirituality and embracing diversity.

The successor will be only the third Head of School in Trinity's 20+ year history. The Head of School wears many hats at Trinity, but primarily leads the Senior Administration Team in the daily operations of the school in pursuit of Trinity's mission and works with the Board of Trustees to create strategic plans for Trinity.

A Search Committee has been assembled to lead this transition, with careful deliberation and a commitment to reflecting the diversity of the Trinity community. The Search Committee consists of highly qualified members who will fulfill the responsibility of identifying the best Head of School candidate for the Board of Trustees to consider for final evaluation and selection. The Committee will work in partnership with Storbeck Search LLC, a Diversified Search Group (DSG) company, ranked by Forbes among the top search groups in the world. Storbeck will, among other things, help define the goals of the search; develop stakeholder input; identify, recruit and cultivate potential candidates; assist with creating an effective candidate screening process; communicate with prospective candidates and facilitate candidate interviews, and conduct background checks on applicants.
